I’m Jean marie

My name is Jean Marie Cooper, owner and photographer of Jean Marie Photography. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico (yes, I speak Spanish—and some say I have a slightly cute accent 😉). After graduating high school, I moved to Florida and never looked back. While Puerto Rico will always hold a piece of my heart, Florida is truly home.
I am a Christian and a faith-based photographer, and my relationship with God is at the center of everything I do. My faith shapes not only my life but also the way I serve my clients—with intention, kindness, gratitude, and love. I believe photography is more than a profession; it is a gift and a calling, and I strive to honor God through every interaction, every moment captured, and every story I have the privilege to tell.
Although I pursued my education early on and graduated from college with a degree in Marketing, Advertising, and Business—giving me a strong foundation for entrepreneurship—my photography journey didn’t truly begin until 2014, shortly after my daughter was born. I have always had a deep passion for imagery and for freezing magical moments meant to last a lifetime. Becoming a mother awakened something even deeper within me—an epiphany that life is far too short not to pursue what you truly love. I’m endlessly grateful for my supportive husband and daughter, who believed in me before I fully believed in myself and continue to inspire me to be my very best.
I’m a hopeless romantic who truly believes the kind of love we see in the movies still exists. The warmth, connection, and heartfelt feedback I receive from couples and their families at every wedding inspire me to keep creating every single day. I’m a daydreamer and an adventurous soul at heart, drawn to natural light, raw emotion, and real, unscripted moments.
I love freezing time—capturing images that become heirlooms, meant to be cherished and passed down through generations. And honestly, that kind of magic never gets old.
Let’s create something beautiful together.
With love,
Jean Marie
